Here is what Nick Misty Dudley had to say about 1and1 and the overall experience with their web hosting service.That with the reviews that we seen had it would be a great choice since they were on some site reviews that we had come across.
Account Setup Feedback
It took 5 DAYS to get our domain name and the registeration completed before we could do anything.
Host Reliability
Their reliability was the worse since they make you wait on everything unless it was during 8:00 am to 8:00 pm EST like most bankers hours. then most of their programming was at all making it work which caused their reliability to get the worse rating we have come across.
Pricing Info
Their pricing is absoluelty garbage, it is done in 3 months at a time. Which for us, and many like us, it doesn't help when we don't have the money upfront.
Final Host Comments
Don't go with 1 and 1 hosting for ANYTHING at all due to the fact that they really really suck.

Their hours are 8:00 am to 8:00 pm EST, which is great for most people who are able to wait to get ahold of someone during normal banker hours. for us that didn't help since when we got our account started on a thursday morning and customer support told us that they encounted an error and it caused a delay plus had to wait until the next business day to get more answers from their customer support.
