I first heard about Site5 through a forum discussion about web hosting services. Most of it was all complaints about how terrible most hosting services are, but it seemed like no one was saying anything bad about Site5. I did some research and it kept looking like a better and better deal the more I found out about it. As soon as my old hosting package expired, I switched everything over to Site5.

Site5’s customer service people are very helpful and a lot better than the customer service people I encountered at the last site that I used for hosting. They don’t seem to be outsourced labor and every time I have had questions for them, they have answers that actually help me. They advertise their average customer support response time to be 25 minutes, but I’ve always experienced much lower response times than that.

They guarantee a 99.9% uptime rate or your money back which I find to be a pretty good deal. I haven’t had any problems with reliability at all since I signed on with them.

Site5 offers a really great hosting plan for only 5 bucks a month. The only problem is that in order to get that rate you have to agree to a 2-year plan. This wasn’t really an issue for me because I’m fine with signing on for two years. If you only want to go for one year, the same plan will cost you 8 dollars a month. Either way, I still think it’s a pretty good deal because in addition to the hosting, they make add-in features very easy to apply to your sites (like blogs, CMS, and the shopping cart feature).

Everyone else always says that the set up for Site5 has been the easiest that they have ever dealt with for blog hosting, but it actually took me a while to get everything straight and also a little more time on talking with the live customer support person than I would have wanted to. Overall, it turned out that a stupid error on my part caused the hold up. Even with the added hassle of setting it up, the process wasn’t that bad and there was a lot of customer support through out and also pretty simple user interfaces for the forms.

I think that Site5 delivers a very good value for my blog hosting needs, especially because they don’t overload their servers. So even though you are paying a relatively low price for shared hosting, you aren’t getting ripped off for the server space that you’re paying for. To me, this is one of the best aspects of Site5. I know that if they are so upstanding about making sure their customer’s are getting what they pay for, then it’s more likely that their business decisions are to retain loyal customers.
My Final Overall Site5 Rating: 10/10
