Here is what Paul Hunt had to say about Site5 and the overall experience with their web hosting service.This used to be a good value host. But they either merged with or were bought out by Theplanet.com. When that happened, their customer support response time became excessive and their once best-in-the-industry server response time deteriorated.
Account Setup Feedback
Usual control panel setup.
Host Reliability
Day-today reliability is good. Backups of things like Mailman (mailing list database) are not user-accessible.
Pricing Info
Pricing is good but confusing. There is no decent migration path for existing customers when a better plan is offered.

If you never have technical issues, this is a good but not great host.

Site5 has never had live customer support. Response time is now 12-24 hours on a good day with a simple problem. They initially failed to be able to move a site from one server to another and then took 2 weeks to recover the data they lost. During that time they sometimes went 48 hours without responding to a ticket and routinely failed to answer the question.
