Here is what Christopher Mcclurg had to say about Omnis and the overall experience with their web hosting service.

A strong, stable company, with superior support service. The price, $7 a month or less, if long term payment, is more than reasonable. When Omnis was sold to a USA company, about 15 months ago, support shifted to Chicago. In the process, support went from fantastic to rude and ugly. I called sales, which referred me to the support manager, who fixed the support issues, himself, and got me the $7 a month deal. A couple of further support problems, mostly with support staff, were resolved, with quick phone calls directly to the head of support. Now that's support.

For Linx hosting, Omnis has no bandwidth limitations, and provides much more space than I need. Yet, when I signed up for this hosting, which cut my original cost by more than half, I was told, precisely, what the limitations were and no promise was made to actually host at the promoted levels. "The promoted levels," I was honestly told, "were necessary, if the company was to compete." Since, I knew I'd never come close to the promoted levels, I had no problem and enjoyed the savings.

Up time is definitely 99.9%. Occasionally, my site's a bit sluggish, but not often enough or long enough to complain about. Billing support is excellent, too, and the company seems in business for the long haul, which was important to me. Only alternative, as far as time frame goes, is godaddy.com.

Downside of Omnis is streaming media is too expensive and allowable database size way too small.

Overall, I'd give Omnis a 99% rating. I don't believe Omnis can fulfill the needs of every web site, but it comes close. Omnis may be the best kept secret on the web.
