Initially in 1999 they were not bad. They were new so there were some bugs to work out but the customer service was good and the communication from them about the problems was good. Over the past nine year however they have become one of the WORST hosts available. The customer service and tech support are practically non-existent. They never answer emails or return calls. In fact they rarely answer the phone. Go figure. I just dropped them after 9 years and wish that I had done it a long time ago.

They use rediculous cookie cutter responses to drag out problems instead of being honest about the issues they are having, their cause, and their effect on customers. They do not return phone calls, rarely answer the telephone, and rarely reply to emails, although I have become great friends with their autoresponder who is very dependable at replying with..... Your Email Has Been Received And Will Be Reviewed By Our Support Team.... or something like that. Except no one ever replies again.

The down time over the years got progressively worse, and the email was always a problem. There has been a lot of email downs, and no communication about what is happening. When you are a developer with many clients, it's really exhausting to constantly be making excuses for the host being down again and again and again. I lost a lot of money from the refunds I had to give my customers.

It depended on what you needed done. A simple site with email would usually be up and ready for uploads within 24 hours. More complicated stuff like SSL's could take weeks.
