At first I thought nexcess was great, good value for dedicated servers. When their dual xeon 2.8ghz server was put to a modest test in traffic, it crapped out.

Their email only support is pretty quick to respond, although they could provide me with no answers as to why their server failed causing critical and costly downtime.

Reliability was terrible considering the whole server went down for a few hours under modest traffic. They were unsure as to what was the cause which leads me to believe that have faulty implementation of their dedicated servers, or other bugs, which can cause downtime.

Needless to say I canceled my service due to the poor performance, yet Nexcess still billed me for an extra month of hosting, even though I canceled literally minutes after my plan was renewed.
