I used HostICan for my hosting package before I stepped up to a complete dedicated server hosting plan. It made sense to continue with them since I already was familiar with their site and had a great experience with my past hosting account with them. I may have been able to find something that would have worked slightly better for what I was looking for in a hosting package, but the inconvenience of learning a new sites interfaces and quirks was not worth it to me.

Account Setup Feedback

I must say that it was a pretty easy process to upgrade my account, but part of that is probably due to the fact that I was already familiar with HostICan (and had done it once before with a different kind of account) before I stepped up to my dedicated server hosting account.

Host Reliability

In all the time that I’ve had my hosting through HostICan, I have only experienced one blip in my hosting service. This is one of the main reasons that I’ve stayed with HostICan so long. They are always up and running. On their site it talks about some of the technical aspects of why their hosting service will allow your server to achieve such fast connection speeds and it’s definitely worth checking out. Another bonus is that when you have a dedicated server account, you get a brand new server that has been unused by anyone else.

Pricing Info

I think that the pricing system they have set up for dedicated servers are a very good deal for most people unless you need a bunch of the more expensive add-on options.

Final Host Comments

The only complaint that I can find with HostICan and my dedicated hosting account is that they don’t have a customer support phone service, but if that’s my only complaint, then I think they are probably doing pretty well.

I love their customer support people. They are so helpful and always very friendly (and that’s pretty hard to do through email). Their ticketing system works pretty well too. I do wish they would add a phone-based customer support too because that would be even more helpful.
