When I found lunarpages.com I was very excited because they do provide some different offerings. In fact, I would consider the absolute best thing about lunarpages.com to be that they offer their subscribers some great options that are hard to find among other hosting providers. The first thing that I was so excited about was that they create customized hosting account plans for subscribers who would like a dedicated server plan with very specific options included. This means that you can get what you want and drop what you don’t without having to pay the built in price addition for all the options that you will never use. The second thing that I was excited about was that they provide a managed hosting service for only $9.99 a month extra. This was a great option because it allows me to pay a little extra for someone else to take care of the time consuming maintenance stuff that I don’t really understand anyway, allowing me to concentrate on the stuff I do know: my business and my sites.

Lunarpages has great customer support because it has email, phone, and a forum option. I think more hosting companies should employ forums as a way to communicate with their subscribers, especially with regards to common trouble-shooting issues.

I think lunarpages offers a pretty good deal with the plan that I have configured and had customized completely according to my needs. I pay over the 99 dollar a month minimum that they advertise, but I also have a lot of specific features that I needed. In a lot of cases, the setup costs are free which is a nice touch.

This was a very simple process after determining the specifics of my customized plan. They offered a quote for the services that I needed included in my hosting package and that way I didn’t have to go through and try to add on things later, which is always the part where I get confused and screwed out of a lot of money when setting up my hosting.
