Here is what Kelsey had to say about 1and1 and the overall experience with their web hosting service.The first thoughts was that this company is pretty cheap and offer a lot. Unfortunately, their tech support is lacking knowledge and it's not easy to work with their control panel. They offer 3 months trial period. We tried it but after deciding to cancel the plan, they tried to bill us again. Fortunately, we placed a stop and chargeback with the credit card. After 1 week, they said they would refund the money. The billing is terrible at 1and1 and someone should sue 1and1 with a class action lawsuit
Account Setup Feedback
The set up is okay but we had some control panel issues. The VPS account was not easy to set up.
Host Reliability
Seems the server uptime was okay. We didn't use the plan long enough to analyze this.
Pricing Info
Pricing is cheap. But you sacrifice customer support and service.
Final Host Comments
Due to the unethical billing of 1and1, 1and1 is NOT recommended. A lot of other people complained about 1and1 ripping them off or cheating them. After trying 1and1 out, yes, it is true, their billing is unethical.

Customer support is unknowledgeable and are slow to reply. It is not recommended to go with a hosting company that does not have online chat. 1and1 will answer emails but it might take 24 hours which is too slow.
