Today, Lunarpages offers web hosting out of three datacenters in western USA and employs over 100 people and service over 150,000 customers worldwide.

Lunarpages offers a plethora of web hosting solutions that should fit most people. The downside, they offer so much on their main page, many new customers may get turned off and become confused. Overall, Lunarpages offers a great service but may need a site redesign to refocus on what is important, simple and easy-to-use web hosting.

Lunarpages is an unlimited web host that offers packages that feature unlimited disk space, bandwidth, hosted domains, and more.

Lunarpages recently revamped their web hosting to offer web hosting at very good prices. They have a starter plan that features limited web hosting for $3.95/mo. after only a 12 month prepay. For their unlimited hosting, it will cost significantly more unless you are willing to prepay a whopping 5 years in advance which customer hosting reviews finds a bit over the top.

Typically customers will only prepay, on average, a year in advance so their current price for unlimited hosting for a 12 month prepay is $8.95/mo which is much higher than the average we've seen through other web hosting companies.

Overall though, their pricing is very good for the starter plan to see if Lunarpages is right for you.

Lunarpages has had issues with overloaded servers in the past, but since 2011, Lunarpages appears to have corrected this issue. Editor's Comments About Lunarpages Control Panel

Lunarpages uses their own custom control panel they call LPCP which stands for Lunarpages Control Panel. Lunarpages appears to have switched from cPanel to this new LPCP to save operations costs. Lunarpages made the switch to LPCP and began putting new customers on this new control panel while keeping older customers on cPanel.

The problem is now they charge customers an extra fee to use cPanel and provide the option to switch to LPCP. The cPanel Lunarpages uses is the most recent version, however, the style they use is still based on the 2.5 cPanel design and does not make use of the new enhancements cPanel provides on the basic theme.

Overall, customers have complained about missing features with LPCP but the features do appear to improve with time.

Lunarpages offers 24/7 technical support via their customer support helpdesk to all customers and limited telephone technical support from Monday-Friday: 7am - 7pm and Saturday-Sunday - 7am - 3:30pm Pacific Standard Time. We'd like to see Lunarpages offer 24/7 telephone technical support for those webmasters who might discover problems while working late at night. We'd also like to see the addition of a live chat system where customers can get instant help should they need to.
