KnownHost does not currently offer shared web hosting and focus primarily on virtual private server hosting for their clients. Since KnownHost does not offer shared web hosting, they alienate themselves from new customers that need a cheap solution to start a web business. But on the flip side, KnownHost is able to provide superior customer support and hardware support because they do not overload their servers with thousands of customers per server.

The down side to KnownHost is since they only focus on VPS servers, they are not a cheap solution and rank poorly when we compare their pricing schedule to other web hosts. But for those that need premium hosting vis a dedicated server or a VPS account, KnownHost is probably the perfect fit for you.

Overall, KnownHost pricing for VPS servers is very competitive. They have 5 VPS plans available that start from 192MB RAM, 10 GB disk space, and 200 GB bandwidth and end with 1,280 MB Ram, 70 GB hard disk space, and 1,500 GB bandwidth.

In our experience, KnownHost has been very reliable over the last three years we've had VPS servers hosted through them. Any time a scheduled maintenance needs to occur, they have notified us via email and let us know there will be a scheduled outage so we can take action as necessary.

Based on our research with our own hosting reviews and reviews posted on other web properties, we can attest that most people who use KnownHost for either VPS hosting or dedicated servers have been very satisfied. In fact, KnownHost relies on word of mouth advertising for their grown and so far, has been very successful.

KnownHost does not currently offer telephone technical support via toll free or toll. They also do not offer a live chat system for technical support. The only way to get support for a technical problem is via their forums or to submit a ticket.

Since we use KnownHost for VPS hosting, we can attest that their customer support via ticket system is excellent and responses are usually received within a half hour, often quicker. We like them because there is very little back and forth required to get a problem resolved, they are very knowledgeable and are able to resolve common issues quickly.
