Here is what Lorena Dampier had to say about HostPapa and the overall experience with their web hosting service.I first signed up with them because of the "green" thing. Renewable energy, etc. Sounded like the right thing to do. Promoting any green initiative is a good thing.

Host Reliability
Not reliable at all. I had issues with my website going down when I logged into Cpanel. One time tech support told me that someone had hacked into my cpanel and removed all the files. Turnout that was not true, just a password issue. But I mean on INCOMPETENT these folks are!!!

whatever. Definitly not worth it at all. Tech support is a joke.

I am switching to another host TODAY. should have done this a long time ago!!!!!!!! dont sign up with them. Not professional at all.

I only had BAD BAD BAD customer service. It's not that they are rude or anything. They just dont seem to care at all. It almost look like there is one guy doing sales/gral questions/cust service/tech support, and just change his name depending on what hat he is wearing that day.
