Here is what Jason G had to say about BlueHost and the overall experience with their web hosting service.
No initial thoughts. I’ve been through a lot of hosts in the past and I just wanted one that I could rely on. Bluehost has been one of the VERY FEW that I’ve been able to completely trust so far. Once you get bitten by a bad website hosting company then you know what I’m talking about. Everything about Bluehost so far has been awesome, though.

Account Setup Feedback

Bluehost has a pretty standard hosting setup procedure. I performed the entire process online and never talked to anyone on the phone so I can’t vouch for that part. If you know what you are doing, then it’s pretty cut-and-dry stuff and nothing to worry about. No surprises here. Their customer service is right on time so I don’t see why anyone would have a problem getting the support they needed in setting up their account.

Host Reliability

The only reason that I give them a nine is because I am quite anal when it comes to monitoring my sites and I notice small bits of times in the middle of the night when my sites aren’t quite as responsive as I think they should be. Of course, it’s probably them performing server maintenance so I don’t get mad about it or anything but I didn’t feel that I should give them a full “10.”

Pricing Info

Their pricing is great for what you get with their shared hosting plans. I’m about to bump up my plan to a VPS because it’s so reasonable as well. According to what I’ve read about them concerning their VPS and dedicated boxes, their services are well worth the money.

Final Host Comments

If you’re tired of all the BS excuses and runaround that many of the other hosting companies have been giving out lately, then I recommend Bluehost a lot. They have been great to me so far.

I give this a “10” because I’ve only emailed them using a support ticket once for a small question that I had. I usually hate putting those in with most companies because I know I’m going to get some BS form letter or canned response back but instead, Bluehost’s rep sent me a “real” email with an answer to the question that I had. Considering the habits of other hosting companies, that’s a refreshing oddity.
