Here is what Brian Hamilton had to say about iPowerWeb and the overall experience with their web hosting service.

Not good. iPowerWeb seemed to have everything I needed in a webhost: Email, cron jobs, lots of space, autoresponders…all at a decent price. But their service is awful and I believe that they stock their shared servers with too many accounts because my websites were slooooooooooooooow all the time.

Account Setup Feedback

I give iPowerWeb a 5 for setup because there’s nothing really bad, per se, about their setup process but nothing outstanding either. You can do it all online but I’d hate to see what someone would have to go through if they actually needed to call them to ask a question to get their site up and running correctly.

Host Reliability

Slow load times, inconsistent resources, overstocked shared servers. I’ve even heard that they allow spammers to utilize their services so that may be the cause of my slow load times and time-out errors but I have no proof of this. I think it’s just better to go somewhere else.

Pricing Info

iPowerWeb’s pricing is actually not that bad when compared to other hosts. I’ve searched around and they seem to be on par with most of the other bargain hosting companies out there. But if I can’t even see my website online half of the time no price is worth it.

Final Host Comments

Avoid iPowerWeb like the plague. No, really there are way better options out there. I know that I can’t be the only one who has had problems with them out there because I’ve talked to other “victims” of them that have had the same experiences.

I’ve called iPowerWeb a total of four times to try to get moved to another server or otherwise get this whole mess straightened out to no avail. Their customer support really lacks any training in technical aptitude whatsoever. That, and a couple of times they were actually quite rude on the phone. I eventually just gave up and transferred my sites elsewhere.
