HostGator was recommended to me througha few webmasters who have been using for ages now. I found their prices and services pretty attractive. Since I've mostly heard very good comments about HostGator I thought that this one was one of the safest hosting companies to go for.

Account Setup Feedback

This was near to flawless. I registered, just moments later I could access my account.

Surprisingly, they offered me to install my scripts and transfer files from my old server to HostGator for free. I virtually did nothing much, and the account and my website were up and running shortly after registration!

Host Reliability

I have not experienced any downtime with HostGator during the period my registration.

In addition, I have neither heard about any of my webmaster friends experiencing downtime with this hosting company. Server Back up in on point as well. Thumbs up for this feature!

Pricing Info

This I have to say is one of their most promising features. Hight Server performance to a low price. I was very happy with the price i paid for a shared server. In fact I could chose the cheapest plan for a mere $4 - $5 and never exceeded the bandwidth or the server space.

Also, the prices given include many offers and Free Add-Ons. Lastly, there are coupons that make hosting with HostGator even cheaper!

HostGator is a very reliable Hosting company dealing with millions of users. They have great servers running for a low cost price and near to perfect customer service and quality.

If you count on reliability, service and quickness - HostGator is one of your best bets. Frankly, hosting my websites there was nothing less than a breeze

This is where I always pay much attention to, the service. As a webmaster, I have been with several hosting companies. I have had many different experiences when contacting the support team, ranging from horrible to excellent.


When I set my account, I had problems with the CPanel control and a Nameserver issue.


When contacting them, I used the live chat system they implemented and was addressed to in a few seconds.
I told them my problem, whereby they told me that they will look into it.


After a few hours everything was resolved, which for me was rather pleasant; maybe they could have been a little faster, however the problem might have been more complicated.



Another inquiry I had about their servers was needed to be answer. That time however i decided to call them, since i needed to make a quick decision and their chat system was off or either not working. I got an answer with quick succession.



I was also pretty pleased with the customer friendliness.
