Here is what Sam Walkonen had to say about HostMonster and the overall experience with their web hosting service.

I overheard a couple of people talking about HostMonster at a business conference and since the catchy name stuck in my head, I checked it out later that day from my hotel room. The first thing that I noticed was that you are able to host unlimited domains even with the basic account. This feature is something that is a definite plus for my purposes and was probably the number one feature that made me read more about what they, as well as others, had to say about them.

Account Setup Feedback

Even though setting up hosting accounts is usually a bit tricky for most people, I think that the vast majority of new subscribers won’t have a problem setting up new HostMonster accounts. It’s simple and straightforward. The menus are also a lot more clear and not as cluttered and misleading as some of the hosting providers that I have used in the past

Host Reliability

I’ve been extremely happy with the reliability that HostMonster’s hosting has offered me. They have fully monitered servers so if something does happen, I don’t have to worry that my sites may lose functionality (and money!) for hours at a time. In fact, since I’ve moved my hosting to HostMonster, I haven’t had any problems at all. It even seems like things are loading faster than they did with my former and more expensive hosting plan from a few months ago.

Pricing Info

I really don’t think you can beat the pricing that HostMonster offers, especially when you stop to consider all the extra values that they throw in to their already overloaded “basic package.” I was happy with their basic package because it already offers unlimited domains, unlimited domain names, and an easy drag and drop site builder, among tons of other things. You can also get other “bonus features” like chat, forums, and joomla with any account, but I haven’t even had the need to use half of the extras that came with my account.

Final Host Comments

I’m very glad I came across HostMonster. It has made me actually like my hosting provider rather than consider it a necessary evil of my business. If all goes according to plan, I will be able to stick with HostMonster and my current account for a while.

I gave HostMonster a 10 on Customer Support even though I’m impatient and hard to please when it comes to talking to Customer Support Agents. When their site says “World Class Customer Support” I’m now inclined to believe it because I have found their reps to be the most knowledgeable that I’ve ever talked to and I’ve never spent much time waiting around on hold.
