Here is what Amie Crispin had to say about HostICan and the overall experience with their web hosting service.

I am pretty new to the web and so you can imagine I was very worried about buying hosting. We found HostICan hosting in a local newspaper and decided to try them out. At first we were worried cause we couldn't get the site to work.

We were told that their system identified our account as potentially fraudulent and so set it to be manually installed. This was upsetting at first. It took them only about 4 hours to get our site setup though which lifted my spirits.

Account Setup Feedback

As mentioned above there was an issue with setting up the account at first but then again it did take them only 4 hours to get it all setup. Once setup we were sent a couple emails detailing our first steps to accessing and starting our website.

Host Reliability

I don't know how to rate this one. My site has never been down - that I know of.

Pricing Info

Again I am not sure how to rate this. I know they are more expensive than many companies however I have also been with two other companies which had horrible support. The pricing isn't a big deal with me, the features and support are the main attractions to me.

Final Host Comments

They seem to care about me as a client and it shows in there detailed support emails. Otherwise I would have terminated my account.

I am very satisfied with the support they offer. They always seem to figure out my problems and fix them - believe me I get myself into many.



I do have one grudge against them. They do not offer either live or phone support. The email support is great and all but I want to be able to talk with a live agent. I would rate the support much lower because of this but they have been very helpful and always fixed my problems, installed scripts or whatever I needed done.
