In general Hostgator is good but
Be very careful though nowadays there is something call limited files innodes 50,000 that you account up to. For me I install a few MYSQL database and it is almost exceed 50,000 and my account receive a warning email and if I do not do anything then my account will be suspended.
Nowadays don't just look at the storage space and traffic allow per month but really ask every webhosting company how much files/ innodes they allowed. Any limitation on anything like FTP, images, flash, even hits per day. If there is a limited that means you just cannot put a lot of sites on one account though it says it is unlimited.
