Hostgator has been a popular webhosting company with many of my friends for quite some time now so I thought that I would give them a try with some new sites that I was sticking up. After a couple of months of being with them, I definitely think that I will be hosting more sites with them.

I don’t like to talk on the phone with companies much and prefer to email instead. I have always gotten a prompt response via email and NOT a form letter. Every time I have gotten a response it has been from an actual person that has addressed my specific need, not something out of a FAQ.

I’ve noticed that my sites are slow every once in a while but nothing major. They certainly aren’t slow enough to make a visitor hit the back button so that’s definitely a plus and a determining factor. I think that giving Hostgator an 8 out of 10 for this small problem is a bit harsh, but I can’t give them a 10 out of 10 so 9 out of 10 it is.

Hostgator has some of the best pricing around, hands down. It’s why they got so popular in the first place, as far as I know.

Like I said before I hate talking on the phone with random strangers (I think it’s odd not to) so I appreciate being able to complete the entire process of setting up a hosting account and uploading a website entirely online. It’s really the only way to do it.
