Here is what Susan Atlanta had to say about iPower and the overall experience with their web hosting service.

Avoid at all costs. The tech support is virtually nonexistant (hold times longer than one hour are common) and since the migration to their new vdeck, things have slowed to a crawl. I had numerous sites hosted there and have moved all of them to other hosting services because of chronic service problems.

Account Setup Feedback

It was good back when I first set up my domains but many things have changed since then so I am not sure how well this process works at the present time. I'm giving them a good score based on my experience several years ago.

Host Reliability

As long as your site is up, life is good but God help you if there is a problem. For example, they somehow released all the spam emails held by their spam filter going back at least six months dumped them all into one user's inbox. More than 5,000 spams flooded one of our user's inbox in less than 30 minutes and the only way we could close the floodgate was to delete the user's mailbox then recreate it later (during which, of course, all his legitimate emails were rejected). It was a disaster.

Pricing Info

Low prices but you get what you pay for. There are other similarly priced services that provide much better reliability and service.

Final Host Comments

I was a dedicated iPower fan for many years but have moved all my domains elsewhere because of chronic support problems, unreliability issues, and inexcusable incompetence. My best advice is to avoid iPower at all costs.

Customer Support at iPower is nonexistant, and their techs are clueless. We had one of our sites down for nearly a week and despite our frantic attempts to get help figuring out what was wrong, all we got was automated emails that they were "looking into it". Expect to wait for days for a response to your emails and to hold for an hour or more when problems arise.
