EasyCGI was a step up from my last hosting which was very much geared towards hosting newbies. Now that I know a little more about everything, I feel a little more comfortable with the features and format of EasyCGI. I know that if I had started with this as a first-time hosting company, I probably would have spent countless hours trying to figure out what to do with it.

Account Setup Feedback

It wasn’t a terrible process, but I also think that EasyCGI could improve the process to make it a little more user friendly. If you are used to a lot of the technical aspects of this kind of thing then you probably won’t have much trouble.

Host Reliability

EasyCGI states on its site that it has a respected 99.99% uptime and I’ve never known any of my sites to have any problems related to my hosting account. I think as far as reliability goes, EasyCGI must be towards the top of the list, if not number one. That was one of the most important factors in my choosing to switch over to them (the others being the high functionality of their control panel feature and the utter stupidity of my last hosting service).

Pricing Info

The pricing is definitely reasonable considering the level of support, reliability, and advanced control panel that are available to their users. It also includes a scripts library which I’ve also found very convenient as it saves me time and money.

Final Host Comments

As a webmaster with growing sites, I think that moving to EasyCGI was a good decision for me and my several sites. Though it might be a little much for a beginner without any experience with MySQL or some of the other applications, I think it’s a great fit for people who have a little bit of an idea about what is going on with the whole hosting thing.

I have found all of the customer support people to be pretty good, although sometimes I’m still a little lost on the answers they give me. However, they are always willing to explain something if I’m not quite sure what they’re talking about the first time. They offer a pretty wide variety of tools to help users including a “knowledge base,” tutorial library, ticket system, in addition to the traditional phone and email forms of customer support.
