Here is what Woody had to say about SiteGround and the overall experience with their web hosting service.When you first read their site it seems that they offer a great service at a great price, UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS FAR FROM THE TRUTH!
They advertise that you have immediate access and that you can use a feature called ID Protect (the latter at additional cost) which protects your personal information on the WHOIS database. These are two of the main reasons why I signed-up with them, to my cost!
They fail to mention until you have handed over your hard earned money and try to use the service and try to buy the ID Protect, that instant access is not available at weekends (it took me 2 days to get the account registered) and ID Protect is not available on .co.uk domains along with many others. In-fact, it doesn't work on more than what it does work on!
This is clearly misleading new/potential customers into thinking that all services are available for all persons/domains when clearly they are not. It is also a breach of advertising laws both here in the UK and in the USA, so they are breaking the law and customers trust. You decide which is the worst of the two, if any! When I asked them if there was any other way to protect my details on the WHOIS, they told me to lie about my details! If I or you was to do so you would have no proof that you owned the site and it is also a breach of ICANN rules to give false information.
I'm having to use charge-back to get my money back from them as they are insisting that if I just cancel my account they will keep most of my money in charges for cancelling .
Account Setup Feedback
As previously stated, two days just to get my .co.uk name registered so I lost a whole weekend of building a site. When I contacted them about it, twice they told me I hadn't even bought a domain from them, just a site!

As previously stated, two days just to get my .co.uk name registered so I lost a whole weekend of building a site. I don't know how reliable their servers are for running a site as I never got mine up and running.
Pricing Info
Their pricing is excellent. There is an old adage here though, "you get what you pay for" meaning if you buy cheap, you get cheap! In my case I didn't even get what I paid for, certainly not as they advertised on their site!

What they say they do and say you get it totally different to what they do and what you get! That's in my personal experience with them.
If you need a site for a business or if you live in the UK or EU or want a domain in one of those prefixes then stay clear, buy from your own country if they have services to offer, even if you have to pay more for them, every penny will be worth it. It will save you a lot of grief and being told lie after lie. If you just want a family site or the likes, use one of the many free services on the net. WHATEVER YOU DO,DON'T GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!

Admittedly the 1st contact with customer support, which is only available by submitting a "ticket" through the account holders control panel, is fairly quick, but this is only if there is a simple problem where they have to type a simple reply. I had to wait over 8 hours to get a supervisor to answer my issue as apparently there wasn't one on shift all day long until the night shift came on duty! What reputable company doesn't have a supervisor on during the day shift?
