It's a neat personal touch that I think most customers will find interesting, different, and most likely trustworthy.

DreamHost offers shared web hosting, VPS web hosting, and dedicated servers. Having all of these options is great when your site expands to the point it needs to step up to the next level. Instead of being forced to leave DreamHost, you can upgrade to a VPS account or even to a dedicated server.

DreamHost offers a free trial, unlimited storage and traffic, and hundreds of features with their feature plan.

We feel DreamHost may still be a great option for your hosting though, because they are one of few web hosts that allow you to store personal files such as backups, up to 50GB in a separate space on your account. With that as an option, DreamHost would be a great alternative to purchasing an online storage account if you felt the need for such an option.

DreamHost is reported as being extremely reliable and trustworthy. Recently in 2010, DreamHost made a switch to faster more reliable servers that ensure everyone will have great web hosting that limits exposure to bad sites that are resource hogs.

DreamHost uses a proprietary control panel that they designed in-house. With the control panel being unique to DreamHost, they state that heir control panel is fast and easy to use. They also claim that their control panel is the most feature-filled control panel in the hosting industry.

DreamHost doesn't offer too many customer support options on their website without logging into their control panel. DreamHost doesn't offer telephone support at all and directs all pre-sales inquiries to a contact us web form that is used to submit your questions to them.

DreamHost does offer a status blog that reports on any server outages, problems, and future upgrade outages. This is a nice touch since most web hosts do not offer such a feature to their customers. With DreamHost, you'll just need to subscribe to their email notification list or RSS feed and you'll be in the know.

DreamHost offers a very popular online forum that has strong user participation. For us here at customer hosting reviews, we found the forum to be full of great tips, information, feedback, and more. We encourage you to review this blog before purchasing. Had this forum not existed, we might have awarded DreamHost as 'poor' for support but since they have it, we've awarded them average.

We really wish DreamHost would offer more support options such as live chat, toll free phone support, international phone support, and an expansive knowledge base that covers most frequently asked questions.
