The account set up was very easy compared to some of the other hosting sites I’ve seen in the past so that was definitely a good start. I had also heard good things about Dotster from a few people whose advice I really trust so that’s why I decided to sign up with them. I haven’t heard too much about them on a wide scale though so I wonder why they don’t do more advertising.

Account Setup Feedback

Like I mentioned earlier in this review, I found the account setup to be very simple which made a great start to my new subscription to this hosting service.

Host Reliability

Ever since I’ve started designing my own sites, I’ve had problems finding reliable hosting. Luckily, it looks like Dotster has stepped up to the challenge. I’m keeping my fingers crossed but I would relate reliability an excellent so far.

Pricing Info

Dotster’s prices aren’t always going to be the lowest prices that you will find, but for a reliable hosting company, they are definitely within reason. They have a lot of cool extras like their MyPR service which I am thinking about using because it seems very worthwhile although the prices may be a little steep—but I guess it all depends on what kind of results they get.

Final Host Comments

I think that Dotster is a great example of how more hosting companies should be set up. Not only do they offer hosting, but also design services, search engine marketing services, and public relations services all through one site. This takes away the difficulty in finding sources for all these various needs and allows you to concentrate on the aspects of your sites that you think are important, and that you enjoy doing. I think that as my sites continue to grow, Dotster will be a great asset to me and my sites.

I’ve never had to wait excessive times on hold, even during busy hours. I’ve also used their live chat feature which is a great plus. My questions have always been fully answered without having to be put on hold again to be transferred to another support rep or department.
