Here is what Unhappy had to say about CoolHandle and the overall experience with their web hosting service.This host company has been an absolute nightmare for me. I have had so many problems that can never be figured out and it seems that once the problem gets to a point that nobody can solve it I get the following response: "Hello, Thank you for your response. We are forwarding this over to our Administrators for further review." That is an actual copy of a support response that I get when they can't resolve the problem and then I don't hear from anyone again and nothing ever gets fixed. I've had problems all the way from control panel access info changing several times without any notification to emails not being received with horde mail to PHP form submissions not working properly. And as far as the PHP forms not working properly the response I would get was, " your script has errors in it". When I tell them I use the exact same script with the exact same code on different host company servers the reply I get, of course: "Hello, Thank you for your response. We are forwarding this over to our Administrators for further review." And it never gets fixed. Still to this day does not work. The support techs there can only seem to handle very minor problems. Anything that comes up that seems to be over my head is also over their heads and it just does not get fixed. My latest problem that has led to this poor review is my website being uploaded to a new account that wasn't being used and for some reason the domain will not pull up when I type in the address. Here's the actual response I received only moments ago: "Hello, Thank you for your response. It is extremely odd error that you are running into. Locally when we attempt your site using Firefox, we get the same error as you, however, when we use Google Chrome or even Internet Explorer, the page works. I did remote into a friends system up north and tested the site using his Firefox and it did work. I will continue to see if there is something causing the default page from coming up." I've given up with this company. As of this review I've completely changed host companies and am in the process of uploading my site to a new server not owned by cool handle. The only reason I've dealt with this company for so long is the price was only $15 per year. I simply hosted forms and email on other servers and linked them to the website hosted with this company. Now they've QUADRUPLED their rates to $60 per year!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS. For the same crappy service!? No thank you. My website has been down since Saturday and it is now about to be Wednesday. I was told I had to cancel the last account to release the domain to be placed onto another host account but there was a specific not place on the account that said I CANNOT cancel the account: Product/Service Domain Name Professional Upgrade [v3] Options: Details | Not Active, Cannot Cancel It took 2 days for them to fix that and didn't even have the courtesy to cancel it for me. I still had to go through the client area and do it myself. One by one as these host account come up for renewal at the quadrupled rate I'm going to cancel the service with them. It's been a nightmare and I am now a true believer in "you get what you pay for", although, now that they are charging $60 I'm sure that opinion may change as well. When I let them know how ridiculous I thought it was that I was going to have to pay 4 times as much for the same service that was previously 1.25 per month this is what they sent me: "Louis, Rather then not renewing, we understand your issues and hope that we were able to offer you a good hosting service. We understand that you may not need hosting at the moment, but we would like to offer you a few more months for free at no cost to you. We kindly ask for you to write a few positive reviews about our hosting service on the following websites. For each review, we will apply 1 month for free. This way, you can still keep the hosting so that you can try other projects or websites.
COOL HANDLE HOSTING REPLIED TO MY NEGATIVE REVIEW BY SAYING THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN RESOLVED.
THE PROBLEM HAS NEVER BEEN RESOLVED. IT WILL NEVER BE RESOLVED BECAUSE I HAVE CHANGED HOSTING COMPANIES AND WILL NEVER USE COOL HANDLE EVER AGAIN.
THEY ARE LIARS! IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED! IT IS A BLATANT OUT-AND-OUT LIE!
I HAVE DOCUMENTED PROOF THEY TELL THEIR CUSTOMERS TO LIE ABOUT THEIR SERVICE TO RECEIVED FREE HOSTING.
THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE!
I WILL CONTINUE TO BE VIGILANT REGARDING THEIR POOR SERVICE AND THEIR LIES.
