I had used the free Geocities web hosting for a while to experiment with HTML. However, I wanted to have more control and get rid of those ads, as well as have my own domain name. That's when I decided to look for a better host.

Account Setup Feedback

Their account set up was quick. I did it at night, and by the next night I was able to access my account. So I didn't have any problems.

Host Reliability

I don't remember any slow downs or down time. But that's probably because I used a static html site at the time. They did offer MySQL but I didn't use it.

Pricing Info

The Bluehost price was about average, not too expensive, not too cheap. However, there were other providers offering the same or more, for a lower price.

Final Host Comments

I used them about a year ago for a few months. So they might have changed by now, however, overall I had a good experience with them. But I had to switch over since their domains and hosting was a bit more pricier than other companies who offered the same. Plus the plan I had only covered 1 domain. And I wanted to work with more domains so I had to look for a cheap reliable shared hosting provider.

I only contacted their customer support team once, which was when I was closing my account with them due to me finding a cheaper host. I wanted to know how to transfer the domain, since I wasn't too familiar with the process at the time. They replied a few hours later, and gave me the instructions. So I had a good experience with their support team.
