Bluefish has been in the web hosting business since 1997. Since then, they have not been able to gain traction as a popular web hosting provider. Their Alexa ranking is currently in the 2 millions which means very few people visit their site. This lads me to believe that the owners gave up on internet promotions and stick to local word of mouth advertising in Southern Utah.

Bluefish doesn't offer anything really spectacular as far as pricing. Bluefish hasn't kept up with market trends and as a result, have much higher prices than their competition. Bluefish would need to lower their price significantly in order to compete with others online.

Bluefish has had very few reviews since 2009 because very few people use them. Their Alexa ranking tells us that very few customers are using them. If they had a lot of customers, those clients would be using their website to get support, to get help, and to look up features and information. None of that is going on at the moment.

Editor's Comments About BlueFish Control Panel

Bluefish uses vDeck for their control panel. If they have kept up on their support and servers, then they should have vDeck 4 which is a nice control panel. Our top ranked hosts iPage and FatCow use vDeck with great success.

Editor's Comments About BlueFish Customer Support

Bluefish offers toll free telephone support and a very archaic support system to provide email support and an extremely limited tutorial section. Currently, they offer a tutorial for "Installing Internet Explorer 6.x" which tells us they are outdated and not kept current. Horrible.

Since Bluefish only offers telephone and email support with limited other support options and limited self help, we ranked Bluefish as poor.
