The first thing I liked about 1 & 1 hosting was that they currently have offer 5 free domains with each account. Little did I know that would just be the tip of the iceberg and there would be all kinds of great features and aspects of my basic account that would be perfect for my needs. I was the first of all my friends to discover 1 and 1 as a hosting company but now I have recommended it to everyone I know as the best possible hosting option for people like me.

Account Setup Feedback

I think that 1 & 1’s setup process is probably one of the most user-friendly hosting provider’s setups that I’ve come across. And yes, I know that still doesn’t mean much. Overall, it’s not bad though.

Host Reliability

I haven’t experienced any problems in the least with my hosting which is something that I am very pleased about. All of my sites load quickly and I have not been notified of any downtime, nor have I found out about any.

Pricing Info

I think that the pricing for 1 & 1’s hosting is definitely a good rate, but it seems that all hosting companies are fairly consistent nowadays. I would recommend that even beginner’s should skip the beginner plan (which only offers 10 GB of storage) in favor of the “Home” plan which is only one dollar more per month but offers a whopping 110 GB more storage.

Final Host Comments

I'm planning to stick with 1 & 1 for my hosting for a while. Hopefully I will remain as happy with them as a am now for the duration of my plan.

I have really appreciated the customer account support options that 1 & 1 has given me, especially the netviewer. The netviewer is like an instant messenger although it allows the support agent to view your computer display simultaneously to help you diagnose and fix the problem. They also offer toll-free phone support and a very in-depth FAQ library if you are uncomfortable with using the netviewer. However, it is stated that it is completely secure.
